    If there’s one word to define The Roe, it’s vision.

    What began as a single parcel of land became an opportunity to thoughtfully shape a small coastal neighborhood—one where timeless architecture, intentional design, and exceptional craftsmanship come together to create homes built for the way people truly want to live.

    Located on Badgers Island in Kittery, Maine, The Roe is Otter Creek Homes' first four-home luxury development. From land acquisition and site planning through architectural collaboration, permitting, construction, and interior design, our team guided every stage of the process, ensuring each decision supported both the long-term value of the community and the experience of the families who would ultimately call it home.

    Developing a community requires far more than building beautiful homes. It begins with understanding the land itself—how each home should be positioned to maximize natural light, privacy, and flow—while balancing infrastructure, municipal requirements, and the vision for the neighborhood as a whole. Every decision was made with intention, creating four residences that feel cohesive together while allowing each home its own unique interior design identity.

    Each approximately 2,400 sq. ft. residence offers three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, thoughtfully designed to blend southern california laid back living with the timeless character of New England architecture. Open-concept floor plans encourage gathering and connection, while custom cabinetry, white oak detailing, natural stone, handcrafted tile, and warm brass accents create interiors that feel both elevated and welcoming.

    Throughout every home, natural materials, layered textures, and abundant light create spaces that are refined without feeling precious. Primary suites become quiet retreats with spa-inspired bathrooms, while every secondary bedroom, bathroom, and living space was designed with the same level of care and consideration.

    For us, The Roe represents more than a successful development—it embodies our belief that great homes begin long before construction starts. They are shaped through thoughtful planning, disciplined execution, and a clear vision from the very beginning. By leading every phase of the process—from development strategy through interior design and construction—we created a neighborhood that feels cohesive, enduring, and of the highest quality for the residence.
